Wintertaling is happy to announce we have successfully advised the shareholders of Aiir Innovations on the sale of the Amsterdam-based aviation technology company to Pratt & Whitney, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, marking another significant cross-border transaction for the firm's M&A practice.

Aiir Innovations has developed advanced AI-powered borescope inspection software that enables aircraft engine inspectors to analyse engine video footage more quickly, consistently and accurately. The company's technology supports more efficient maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations by improving inspection quality and reducing turnaround times.

Through the acquisition, Pratt & Whitney plans to integrate Aiir Innovations' artificial intelligence capabilities across its global commercial, civil and military engine MRO operations, further enhancing inspection processes and helping maximise engine availability for customers.

The transaction represents an important milestone in Aiir Innovations' growth journey and highlights the increasing global demand for innovative Dutch technology in the aerospace sector.

Wintertaling advised the shareholders throughout the transaction, with the deal team led by Thom Schölvinck, supported by Bart Dreef, Roos Gelaudie, Marein Smits and Joel Erwteman.
