Yağmur Yollu Appointed Managing Partner at Gökçe Attorney Partnership

Jul 01, 2025 – Istanbul, Turkey

Gökçe Attorney Partnership is proud to announce the promotion of Yağmur Yollu to the position of Managing Partner. This milestone recognizes her outstanding legal expertise, unwavering dedication, and strategic leadership in the fields of technology, data protection, and digital law.

Yağmur Yollu began her legal career at Gökçe in 2016, shortly after graduating from Istanbul University Law School as a High Honor Student. She continued her academic pursuits in the university’s Department of Private Law, where she completed her postgraduate studies and authored a thesis on “Protection of Websites”—one of the first academic works in Turkey to examine website protection within the framework of intellectual property law.

Over the past nine years, Yollu has played a critical role in the development of Gökçe’s Technology, Media, and Communications (TMC) and Data Privacy practice. Her practice focuses on regulatory compliance in data protection, internet law, media and telecommunications, e-commerce, consumer law, and intellectual property. She is widely recognized for her ability to guide both domestic and international clients through complex legal landscapes, particularly in emerging digital sectors such as fintech and e-sports.

Yollu has led numerous cross-border projects in collaboration with international law firms such as DLA Piper, K&L Gates, Fieldfisher, and Osborne Clarke. She has also been acknowledged in Chambers’ FinTech Legal rankings as an "Associate to Watch" for her ability to simplify and clarify regulatory requirements in the fintech space. Her thought leadership includes contributions to legal publications on cybersecurity, cookie regulations, and Turkish data protection law.

Her promotion marks a new chapter for Gökçe, as the firm continues to strengthen its position at the forefront of digital and technology law in Turkey. As Managing Partner, Yollu will lead the firm’s strategic growth, with a particular focus on innovation, digital transformation, and international collaboration.

We are thrilled to have Yağmur step into this leadership role,” said the firm’s founding partners in a joint statement. “Her deep knowledge of the law, combined with her forward-thinking approach and ability to connect with clients, makes her the ideal person to guide Gökçe into the future.”
