The transaction represents a landmark cross-border M&A deal in the Balkans and a significant milestone in the ongoing consolidation and expansion of the regional beverages industry.
Founded in 1873, Banjalučka Pivara is renowned for its flagship beer brand Nektar and a wide portfolio of beverages. With operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and established sales channels in Montenegro, Croatia, and across the region, Banjalučka Pivara brings a strong market position and a rich brewing tradition to the Olvi Group.
Olvi, with more than 145 years of experience and operations across Europe, produces beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and ready-to-drink cocktails. This acquisition marks Olvi’s second strategic step in implementing its multi-local growth strategy in the Balkans and further strengthens its presence in the European market.
