Aronberg Goldgehn Relocates to Chicago Loop

May 01, 2023 – Chicago, Illinois

Aronberg Goldgehn has officially changed its Chicago residence, moving away from the firm’s River North location to a new Loop office located at 225 West Washington Street, Suite 2800, effective May 1, 2023.

The firm’s fresh space is situated in the city’s center — close to courthouses and government buildings, as well as transportation options like Union Station, Ogilvie and CTA – making it convenient for all firm employees.

“Since 1892, our roots have been firmly planted in Chicago. While searching for the perfect office space, we wanted to not only remain in the city but live in its heart,” said Sheri Zaban, firm and Executive Committee member and chair of the firm’s Real Estate Committee.

Maximizing the space’s penthouse location and balconies, the light-filled office features a vaulted ceiling treatment that invokes a skylight feel. The firm’s new space also incorporates state-of-the art technology, including a videoconferencing platform with wireless whiteboard devices and a remote resource and space reservation system. Custom-commissioned mixed-media artwork featuring notable legal personalities will also be on display in the office.

Other design elements emphasize employee flexibility and well-being with features such as:

  • Dedicated and hotel offices with on-demand standing desks to accommodate the firm’s mobile professionals
  • Multiple laptop stations throughout the office
  • Open office space in multiple configurations for team collaboration or impromptu hot desking
  • Reservable huddle space for longer-term team collaboration
  • A private wellness space with a reclining chair and dimmable lights

Firm, Executive Committee and Real Estate Committee member Amy Gibson explained, “While designing this space, we wanted to create a highly flexible environment to allow our professionals to choose the space and features necessary for their day-to-day work. There’s no longer a ‘one size fits all’ option when it comes to working styles so we’re providing a range of space options to allow our team to choose where they can do their best work.”

Open office areas will be plentiful, where the firm’s attorneys can choose to work from high-back sofas, standing desks, laptop tables or banquette seats.

In designing the new space, the Real Estate Committee comprised of Sheri Zaban, Amy Gibson, Staci BalbirerChris Bannon, Sue Burdett, Paul GilmanJerry HoliskyTim NelsonNed Robertson and Sheri Stone, aimed to emphasize an uplifting environment for all firm employees that would continuously keep up with the legal community’s ever-changing landscape.
