Wendel Rosen Receives Five “Tier 1” Marks on Best Lawyers 2018 Best Law Firms List

November 20, 2017

Oakland, CA

Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP announces that the firm has been named to the list of 2018 Best Law Firms by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. The firm is the only Oakland-based law firm to earn “Metropolitan Tier 1” marks for its Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Construction Law, Real Estate Litigation, Real Estate Law and Trust and Estates Law practices. The firm also received “Metropolitan Tier 2” rankings for its Corporate Law, Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law, Land Use and Zoning Law and Trust and Estates Litigation practices.

Firms included in the 2018 “Best Law Firms” list are recognized for professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Achieving a “Tier 1” ranking signifies a quality law practice and breadth of legal experience and knowledge in the recognized area. To be considered for inclusion, the practice must include at least one individual lawyer recognized in The Best Lawyers in America. For the 2018 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, evaluators analyzed more than 7.4 million votes cast by lawyers for their respected peers in the industry. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”

In addition to the firm’s “Best Law Firms” rankings, 10 individual Wendel Rosen attorneys were recently named to the 2018 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Among the honorees, Name Partner Michael Dean celebrated his 35th year on the list, having appeared every year since the list’s inception in 1983.
