"Legal Considerations for the Startup Entrepreneur” Government Law Center Panel Discussion

McNamee, Lochner, Titus & Williams, P.C. Attorney Jeremy H. Speich will be a panelist in the “Legal Considerations for the Startup Entrepreneur” seminar being held March 1, 2013, at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering campus, South NanoFab building. 

The seminar will address the many legal issues an entrepreneur should consider to ensure the success of his or her business. Mr. Speich will speak to matters involving raising capital, dealing with investors, and investor contract matters.

The Panel Discussion is part of the Renewable Energy Entrepreneurial Seminar Series, supported by funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and is part of a concerted effort by the Albany Law School’s Government Law Center (GLC) to provide support to renewable energy firms across the state. For more information, visit www.albanylaw.edu/esb.

Mr. Speich represents new, emerging and established businesses in connection with business, succession and tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses, and raising capital via debt and equity financing, including private placements to raise venture capital. His practice includes commercial real estate and leasing transactions, commercial loan transactions, licensing and regulation of professional entities and the formation and operation of corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and partnerships. He counsels various not-for-profit organizations and civic groups on issues of formation, operation and tax-exempt status. Mr. Speich also represents clients in disputes with federal and state taxing authorities.
