  • (March 2008) Congratulations to Henry J. Catenacci , J. Barry Cocoziello , Robert L. Podvey and Mark K. Lipton who were named as “Super Lawyers ” in the 2008 Edition of New Jersey Monthly Magazine Super Lawyers .  Bob was named in the field of Business Transactions, Barry in the area of Business Litigation, Hank in the area of Insurance Litigation and Mark in the area of Securities and Business Transactions.  This is the fourth consecutive year in which Barry, Bob and Mark have been honored as Super Lawyers in their respective fields.

  • (September 2007)  Podvey Meanor Attorney Anthony J. Golowski II Speaks On Forensic Financial Investigations In Insurance Fraud Litigation. –– Podvey, Meanor, Catenacci, Hildner, Cocoziello & Chattman, P.C. Member Anthony J. Golowski II recently presented a seminar on forensic financial investigations in insurance fraud litigation, with an emphasis on Workers’ Compensation Premium Fraud and Medical Provider Fraud cases at the 22nd Annual Seminar & Expo On Insurance Fraud presented by the International Association of Special Investigation Units. Mr. Golowski presented his audience with methods of obtaining personal liability against the principles of corporations that have engaged in premium fraud or which have submitted fraudulent claims for insurance benefits.  The proprietors of such corporations often seek to avoid personal liability by hiding behind the limited liability shield generally offered by corporations or limited liability companies, and the group engaged in a discussion of methods for piercing the corporate veil.

  • (June 2007)  Levy & McRae wins Landmark Ruling – Right to  Privacy wins over Ramblers Right to Roam

    Ann Gloag, owner of Kinfauns Castle , Perthshire, has been successful in her action for Declarator that access rights do not apply to  the grounds of Kinfauns Castle . This landmark case was the first test of the Right to Roam legislation where the Ramblers sought to establish a right to roam, across the private grounds of Kinfauns Castle .  The Sheriff accepted that Mrs Gloag was entitled to reasonable measures of privacy and that her enjoyment of the house should not be unreasonably disturbed.  This was the first case of this type under the Land Reform ( Scotland ) Act 2003

  • (May 2007) Levy & McRae have been retained to represent Rangers Football Club in respect of disciplinary charges before UEFA arising out of the Osasuna v Rangers football match on 14 March 2007.

  • (May 2007) Levy & McRae have been awarded the contract to represent British Sky Broadcasting Limited in the enforcement of all copyright and licensing matters arising in Scotland.  This will give rise to approximately 200 cases a year ensuring rigorous enforcement of all intellectual and contract rights belonging to BSkyB.
