FALL LEGAL NETLINK MEETING--SEATTLE 2009  

Legal Netlink held its annual fall meeting in Seattle, Washington the first weekend of October 2009. The meeting was hosted by the law firm of Riddell & Williams at the Fairmont Hotel. The program consisted of a number of guest speakers as well as panel discussions. The guest speakers were as follows:

Larry Kohn--Kohn Communications, who concentrates on coaching for attorneys.

Kimberly Harris--Executive Vice President and Chief Resource Officer of Washington’s largest utility company.

Paul Mutty--Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Starbucks Coffee Company.

A representative of Path, a global health care think tank for impoverished countries.

Panel discussions with Legal Netlink members. The discussions centered around the client relationship and billing, as well as partnership issues and succession planning for a law firm.

The meeting was attended by law firms throughout the United States, Mexico, Scotland, Germany and Belgium.

The next European Legal Netlink meeting will be the last week of January, 2010, in Rome, Italy, followed by the spring meeting to be held the third week in May, 2010, in Chicago, Illinois.
